Free Business Counseling Day Supports Greene County Business Growth
Stanardsville VA, May, 2007. The Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CVSBDC) and SCORE® jointly sponsored a Business Counseling Day in Stanardsville on Wednesday, May 23rd for Greene County business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs supporting the County's goal to grow and expand its businesses.
The event featured one-on-one, confidential counseling at no charge. Business counselors with experience in cash flow management and business financing options, marketing strategies, human resource and operations management, business planning, purchasing and selling a business, franchising and contracting were available.
Established Greene County business owners working to expand and grow their businesses, as well as aspiring Greene County entrepreneurs kept three counselors busy throughout the entire day.
Both the SBDC and SCORE are resources partners and funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration and staffed with business consultants experienced in the ownership and management of a wide variety of businesses. The CVSBDC is hosted by the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development and is funded in part by the Greene County Economic Development Authority.
