Greater Than 2,000 Attend Greene's Discover Virginia Food & Wine Festival
Stanardsville, September 2007. Greater than 2,000 visitors attended Greene County's second annual Discover Virginia Food & Wine Festival, doubling attendance from last year's inaugural festival.
Perfect weather accompanied the family-friendly event which again raised $750.00 for the Greene Education Foundation.
The Festival featured regional wineries and vineyards, including Greene's own award-winning Stone Mountain Vineyards. Twenty-six vendors participated in the event highlighting the Greene County tourism industry and County artisans.
The Greene County Economic Development Authority extends its sincerest thank you to our host, the Greene Education Foundation and its many hard working volunteers. The EDA also extends its sincerest thank you to the Festival's generous corporate sponsors: BB&T, Best Western Charlottesville Airport Inn & Suites, Fried Companies, Inc., K.
