Greene County, Virginia will join Governor Timothy M. Kaine in celebrating
Business Appreciation Week, designated to recognize the contributions Virginia “This year, Virginia celebrates the contributions small businesses make to our local, state and national economies. Because of them, our economy continues to flourish and larger businesses continue to have the support they need to thrive,” said Tony Williams, Director of Economic Development. “I am privileged to honor every business in our community, and especially our small businesses, during Business Appreciation Week and continue to support their success throughout the year and in the future.” Greene County is celebrating Business Appreciation Week with a reception to be held Thursday, May 15, from 5pm-7pm at the Blue Ridge Cafe in Ruckersville. Sponsored by the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative and Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development, the Reception recognizes our local business community. The purpose of the Greene County Department of Economic Development is to increase County revenues, and thereby the quality of life for its citizens, by supporting the growth and expansion of established businesses and attracting new businesses to the County.
