Residents have access to top quality medical centersGreene County residents have access to the University of Virginia Health Center, a major academic medical and research center with over 450 specialists and subspecialists. UVa Health Center physicians consistently ranks among America's Top Doctors. Services range from wellness programs and routine checkups to the most technologically advanced care.

Residents also have access to Martha Jefferson Hospital, a not-for-profit community hospital with a medical staff of 350 physicians providing comprehensive medical and surgical services. A nearby Health Services Center offers X-ray, mammography, and laboratory services, bone density testing and a primary care physician office. Greene County also houses Martha Jefferson primary care physician offices.

The Greene Care Clinic is a not-for-profit clinic offering free medical exams, prescriptions and lab services for limited-income residents who do not have health insurance. Contact: Janet Call, Executive Director, 434-985-7000.

Fitness

Greene County houses Spectrum Therapy, a privately owned rehabilitation company providing PT, OT and speech therapy along with athletic training services.

There are currently two fitness centers in Greene, Blue Ridge Fitness Center in Stanardsville and Curves and Anytime Fitness in Ruckersville.
